Ray Sadler - President of Sadler and Carter Poker Supply

Ray Sadler opened a Specialty Advertising business that provides custom imprinted wearables for large corporate clients across the United States. He brought aboard his partner, Steve Carter, to help operate the growing business in 1998.

Before poker started its current rise to popularity, Ray and Steve, as entertainment for its clients, threw large poker parties during the Holiday seasons. They soon took on a life of their own and started becoming Quarterly events and not just for the Holidays.

With the rise of Poker, and the passion for the game that Ray has, we decided to open "Sadler and Carter Poker Supply" in 2003.

We started with a modest 350 sq. foot retail space, and within months of opening our doors we needed to find more space to house or ever growing product lines and superior hand made poker tables.

In the fall of 2004, in our new 3000 sq. foot retail poker retail store, we were the first in Dallas Texas to offer a "Free Seat to the 2005 World Series of Poker". We began holding every other Friday nights free tournament satellites, where the winner of each evening would advance to the finals tournament held at the end of the season and the winner would go with us to the World Series of Poker 2005.

In June 2005, Sadler and Carter Poker team headed to Las Vegas for its first Major tournament. Ray Sadler had the honorable mention of being the first eliminated in the event, lasting a total of 45 minutes. My partner, Steve Carter, however, would make Sadler and Carter Poker Supply history by getting ESPN national face time and place 7th place in at that time the 3rd largest field in poker history.

Ray continues to play poker every week in his home game, as well as some of the casinos in the surrounding areas. He has however switched his game from No-Limit Hold-em to Pot Limit Hi-Lo Omaha.
